I and my whole family have used this agency for a very long time. I love Cierras service. But I'm sorry, I have to amend my review after my recent experience. I recently had an at fault accident. My renewal was this month (February) and my accident was very early in December. Now, in fairness, I am very aware that an at fault accident affects my rates. I was vehicle shopping and got several quotes with these guys, since I trust them. The vehicle I ended up purchasing, I got a quote for $264.80/mo before my renters. I have the conversation and everything in writing. They ended up blending in my renewal and whatnot in since it was so close. It was 3/4 of the reason I bought the vehicle was to minimize the "damage" of the at fault accident, but they informed me in writing that portion of it wouldn't kick in until next renewal. One month in, and I get a text saying more or less "Whoopsies we misquoted you it's actually 309 before renters." That is a MASSIVE difference. If it was a few bucks or something much more reasonable I would simply let it go. The only answer I got was that rates are subject to change at renewal and that they are a highly regulated industry. Which I completely understand since I also work in a highly regulated industry myself. But, given that information, if I was $45/mo off on one of my quotes without a major changing factor, I would be fired and could legally be liable for the difference. Also, changing it based on the fact of a renewal that ALREADY happened based on their own words is dirty. I 100% got bait and switched and now Im stuck with a ridiculous insurance payment. My whole family is considering switching over this because there is no accountability at all, just "sorry". Like I said, I have all of this is writing. It's the principal of dirty business that matters to me the most. I will absolutely be filing a complaint with DIFS after backend discussion.
